Ga. Superintendent to Visit Garrison Mill
The East Cobb elementary was named a state school of excellence.
John Barge, the Georgia Superintendent of Schools, will be visiting East Cobb's Garrison Mill Elementary School on Friday.
His visit is scheduled for 2 p.m.
Garrison Mill was recently named a 2013 Georgia School of Excellence by the state Department of Education.
Barge is a Cobb County native who has recently announced a run for governor.
Last week, he visited the other Cobb schools honored with Garrison Mill, King Springs Elementary in Smyrna and Ford Elementary in Acworth.
