East Marietta 9-Year-Olds Beat Cartersville

Action continued at Sewell Park in Marietta as two All-Star tournaments are underway.

The Northwest Georgia 9-Year-Old Classic Little League baseball tournament continued Wednesday at Sewell Park in Marietta. The 6-day tournament will conclude on Sunday with a championship game at 2 p.m.

The East Marietta National All-Star team won, 5-3, over the Cartersville All-Stars in the 6 p.m. game.

In the 8 p.m. game, Rockmart beat Murphey Candler Blue, 8-2, in four innings.

The 11-to-12-Year-Old District 2 Little League Tournament was running concurrently at Sewell Park in Marietta.

Milford won the first game, being played on Field 3, in four innings, 12-0, over Smyrna.

Murphey Candler Gold beat Murphey Candler Blue, 12-1, in teh 8 p.m. game.

Action continues today as follows:

Field 1 (9-year-olds)
Murphey Candler Gold vs. Cartersville, 6 p.m.
Murphey Candler Blue vs. East Marietta National, 8 p.m.

Field 3 (11-12-year-olds)
East Marietta National vs. Milford, 6 p.m.
Smyrna vs. Murphey Candler Gold, 8 p.m.
