East Cobb Students Named Semifinalists in Presidential Scholars Program

Both seniors made the cut of semifinalists by demonstrating outstanding academic achievement, leadership, citizenship, service, and contribution to school and community.

Anirudh Udutha of the Wheeler High School Center for Advanced Studies in Science, Mathematics, and Technology and Edward S. Park of Walton High School are among 16 semifinalists from Georgia in the 2014 United States Presidential Scholars program.

Each 2014 senior made the cut of semifinalists by demonstrating outstanding academic achievement, leadership, citizenship, service, and contribution to school and community.

The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964, by executive order of the President, to recognize and honor some of the nation’s most distinguished graduating high school seniors.
