Chatt Tech in the Top 100 List for 2-Year Colleges

The school with a Northeast Cobb campus is one of five Georgia colleges to rank in the top 20.

Chattahoochee Technical College was recently named to the list of the Top 100 certificate-producing institutions in the United States among more than 1,800 two-year colleges that conferred such awards during the 2011-2012 academic year.

Ranking 16 out of the top 100, Georgia’s largest technical college is one of five Georgia colleges to rank in the top 20.

Chattahoochee Tech's facilities include the Mountain View campus on Gordy Parkway in East Cobb. 

The rankings are determined by Community College Week magazine each year. 

This year’s report places Chattahoochee Technical College at 16th in the nation in all disciplines represented among certificates offered and taking one year or less to complete. The college awarded 1,957 technical certificates of credit in fiscal year 2012, a 22 percent increase from the previous year in which 1,604 awards were presented.

Chattahoochee Tech also ranked in the subcategories of minority students who completed one-year certificates – number 35 out of 100. This was a 24 percent increase from the 512 the year before.
