Roswell/Sewell Mill Traffic Signal Active

A troublesome East Cobb intersection is now regulated by a traffic lights that became operational Tuesday.

Motorists using the Sewell Mill Road intersection at Roswell Road will notice a major improvement starting today. 

A fully functional traffic signal system is to debut on Tuesday that will dramatically affect traffic flow in the area. 

There had not been a traffic signal at a busy intersection that has been under reconstruction for several months.

Signal lights have been flashing yellow for Roswell Road traffic and red for vehicles exiting Sewell Mill Road over the weekend as part of the system testing. 

The new signal system is part of an onging improvements project along Roswell Road from the Marietta Parkway east, with much of the activity currently centered between Robinson Road west and East Piedmont Road.
