While you've got to go indoors to use a library, the is using National Library Week to encourage patrons to enjoy the outdoors this spring.
Of the branch's three NLW-related events this week, two are tied to the enjoyment of gardening. The first of these events is about butterfly gardening today, starting at 6:30 p.m.
The Master Gardener series will explore how gardens can become a destination for the area’s butterflies.
On Wednesday, at 4:15 p.m., the Flower Power! session will invite school-age children for stories about all things related to gardens. The participants also will plant a seed to take home and watch grow.
The last National Library Week event at East Cobb Libary is Friday with the exhibit "In Her Father's Eyes." This exhibit, which is available from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., is on loan from the Kennesaw State University Museum of History and Holocaust Education.
The East Cobb Library is located at 4880 Lower Roswell Road, in the Parkaire Landing Shopping Center.
