East Cobb Week in Review, April 4-10

A roundup of the top headlines in our community.

1. Hemy Avi Neuman, the former East Cobb resident charged in the November shooting death of a man at a Dunwoody day care center, on Monday. 

2. Bad storms on Monday night knocked out power throughout the metro Atlanta region, and  in front of an East Cobb home. Thankfully nobody in the family was injured. 

3. A woman bringing home pizza from an East Cobb Little Caesars told a friend that as she was getting back in her car, the back window  by three youths lurking around the restaurant. Cobb police issued a clarification about the incident and East Cobb Patch.

4. East Cobb Board of Education member David Banks expressed concern about a letter the Cobb County School District received from the , which has been asked to look into continuing friction on the school board. Banks has become for much of the controversy. 

5. Two days after East Cobb commissioner Bob Ott held on the county budget, chairman Tim Lee announced on Friday a whopper of a way to cut Cobb's estimated $31 million deficit. In his plan, Lee would , including the East Cobb and East Marietta locations, by the end of April.

Ott was incensed by the proposals, and library staffers and aficionadoes busily got word out about Tuesday's commission meeting at which budget recommendations are scheduled to get a vote.
