East Cobb Road Work Update

Improvements are continuing this week on Paper Mill Road and Johnson Ferry Road that will affect traffic.

Traffic in the following areas will be affected by continuing road improvements Monday through Friday of this week, according to the office of East Cobb Commissioner Bob Ott:

  • Davidson Road to Surrey Trail: Expect periodic lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with one lane remaining open. The contractor is performing grading, and wall construction. Various utility companies are relocating services which should not affect your service.
  • Surrey Trail to Forest Brook Parkway: Also, expect periodic lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. between Mill Run Drive and Willow Point Parkway with one lane remaining open. The contractor will perform storm drainage construction. Utilities relocation should not affect your service.
  • Also this week, drivers can expect intermittent lane closures – when necessary - from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sope Creek Elementary School with one lane open. The contractor will be grading and placing concrete curbing. Utility contractors will relocate facilities which should not affect your service.
  • Woodland Brook Drive remains closed to traffic in the vicinity of Brandy Station Drive. Contractor continuing excavation and utility relocations.
