East Cobb Road Work Update

The Paper Mill Road repairs at Sope Creek are finished; work continues this week on Lower Roswell Road.

The following road projects are continuing this week and will affect traffic in the follow areas of East Cobb, according to the office of District 2 Cobb Commissioner Bob Ott

  • Davidson Road to Surrey Trail: Expect periodic lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, with one lane remaining open. The contractor will be grading and placing concrete. Sewer work will continue at Hyde Road.
  • Mill Run Drive to Heyward Place: Expect periodic lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, with one lane remaining open. The contractor will be grading and placing concrete.
  • Willow Point Parkway to Timber Ridge Road: Expect periodic lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, with one lane remaining open. The contractor will continue clearing operations in Phase 2. Utilities relocation should not affect service.

Cobb County Road Resurfacing
Asphalt paving operations, which will include lane closures with one lane remaining open at all times are scheduled for Monday through Friday on the following roads:

  • Bishop Lake Road from Johnson Ferry Road to Roswell Road: Striping and shoulder Rehab work. 

Paper Mill Road at Sope Creek

On Friday afternoon, Cobb DOT shut down traffic to make repairs to the bridge foundation. The road reopened around 2 p.m. on Sunday.
