Cobb Citizens Oversight Panel to Present Findings

Committee formed to examine county government's fiscal picture to report during Tuesday's commission work session.

The Cobb County Commissioners are poised to hear from a group of residents Tuesday afternoon about ways to improve efficiency and save dollas in a battered economy.

The Citizens Oversight Committee has spent several months going over county finances and the structure of county departments. They will provide a long-term list of service priorities that are/may be conducive to the county's budget aims.

The committe, consisting of 10 members, has been meeting on a weekly basis since March. The committee divided into four teams with specific departmental and agency assignments.
