Big Bargains for Cobb Readers This Weekend

County's semi-annual book sale will be held Friday through Sunday at Jim R. Miller Park in Marietta.

The Cobb County Public Library System’s next semi-annual book sale will be held Friday and Saturday, March 7-8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 9 from 1-5 p.m. at the Jim R. Miller Park at 2245 Callaway Road in Marietta.

Donated items for the book sale include soft-cover and hard-back books, magazines, text books, DVD and VHS movies, and children’s books. Prices range from 10 cents to $5.

Last year, the book sales generated more than $100,000 which enabled the library staff to purchase new materials, including books and DVDs.

The March book sale attracts thousands of book-lovers to the event and is one of the two large semi-annual sales held yearly.
