Teen Injured in East Cobb Accident

Report: The victim of a crash on Lower Roswell Road near the Chattahoochee River was airlifted with head trauma.

An unidentified teen driver has been airlifted to an Atlanta hospital with head trauma after a car accident in East Cobb on Monday morning. 

According to The Marietta Daily Journal, the victim, whose age may be 17, was taken to Atlanta Medical Center with injuries suffered in a one-car crash shortly before 7 a.m.

The young male driver was traveling eastbound on Lower Roswell Road near the Chattahoochee River when his 2008 Mazda failed to make the turn where Lower Roswell forks into Timber Ridge and Willeo roads (see attached map).

The Mazda ran off the road and crashed into a tree, according to the MDJ report. 

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported earlier Monday that the driver left the vehicle and was discovered by a nearby bridge.
