Suspects Arrested in East Cobb Murder

Two 19-year-olds from Lithonia have been charged in the Jan. 11 shooting death of Brandon Brazil.

Cobb Police have charged two teens from DeKalb County with the murder of an East Cobb resident at his apartment earlier this month.

Dedric Baisden, 19, of Lithonia, and Dwight Moore, also 19 and from Lithonia, are being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center after being charged with murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery and burglary, Cobb Police spokeman Michael Bowman said in a release Friday.

Bowman said Baisden was taken into custody in DeKalb County without incident and transferred and that the Cobb County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Unit arrested Moore.

According to arrest records, Baisden was booked in Cobb Thursday afternoon and Moore was booked early Friday morning.

On Jan. 11, Cobb Police were summoned to a residence at the Sedgefield Apartments on West Commons Lane after neighbors reported hearing gunfire. Police discovered the body of Brandon Brazil, 30, who was pronounced dead on the scene inside his apartment with gunshot wounds.

I'll be there; rabbi Alper should be good (his You Tube videos are entertaining). CongratulationsRead More to Henry Hene and the Habitat coalition for doing such wonderful work and promoting "We Build to Coexist, We Coexist to Build." Congratulations to Addie and Harvey Schneider -- both are the definition of mensch.

Hurray for the "old school" which just means having a few manners. Ms. Smith alwaysRead More seems to present three facts after what seems to be extensive research. People can disagree without being rude or spouting half truths. I'm glad we still have some ethical and honest people in our midst.
