Sandy Plains Road Bank Robbed

Marietta Police say a BB&T branch in Northeast Cobb was held up on Monday afternoon.

 are searching for a man who held up a BB&T bank in the Northeast Cobb section of the city Monday afternoon. 

According to police, the robber approached a teller at bank at 1901 Sandy Plains Road at approximately 1 p.m.

The man handed the teller a note demanding money, then received an undisclosed amount of cash and left on foot. He was last seen running behind the bank.

The robber is described as a skinny white man between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-10, wearing a shoulder-length black wig, women’s clothing and sunglasses.

Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call 770-794-5300.
