Woman Shot in Face in Cumberland Mall Parking Lot

Shooting took place around 2:20 p.m. Monday outside Macy's.

Cobb police continue to investigate a Monday afternoon shooting near the Cumberland Mall Macy’s.

A woman was shot in the face in the parking lot of the mall at approximately 2:20 p.m. as three shots were reportedly fired during the incident.

WSB TV reported that the alleged gunman was seen leaving the scene in a white van. The news outlet added that a ‘potshot’ was also taken at an individual who was attempting to help the woman.

Her current condition is unknown.

Cobb Police Sgt. Dana Pierce said the suspect, who is believed to have known the victim, is thought to be a black man in his 50s, standing 5-feet-10 inches tall with short hair.
