Powers Ferry Road CVS Store Robbed

Cobb Police say the incident took place Wednesday afternoon.

Cobb Police are searching for a suspect who held up a CVS pharmacy on Powers Ferry Road Wednesday afternoon. 

A man entered the store at 2014 Powers Ferry Road around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday demanding specific prescription drugs and cash from a register, according to a release issued by Cobb Police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce.

The suspect, who displayed a handgun in his waistband during the robbery, left with an undisclosed amount of cash and may have been driving a gold or tan full-size SUV, police said.

Pierce said the suspect is described as a black male, six feet tall, and heavyset or muscular, between 40-50 years old. 

The suspect was wearing black plastic rimmed glasses, a black jacket and a skull cap, and hid his face with a surgical mask during the robbery, according to police.

He also wore latex gloves and walked with a cane and a noticeable limp, witnesses told police.
