Police: Cobb Man Caught with Cocaine

The Marietta resident is being held in a jail in upstate New York.

A Cobb County man was busted on drug charges Sunday in upstate New York.

Emmanual L. Sheppard, 30, who has a Marietta address, was one of three people arrested in the village of Adams, not far from Syracuse, after police received a complaint about the odor of marijuana coming from an apartment, the Watertown Daily Times reported.

Adams police investigated and said they found 1.3 kilograms (about 2.9 pounds) of powder and crack cocaine, marijuana residue, and drug paraphernalia when they searched the apartment, the Daily Times added.

The cocaine had a police-estimated street value of $130,000, WNYF-TV said.

Sheppard, Christopher Wilson, 31, of Watertown, NY, and Kristin Avallone-Clark, 22, of Carthage, NY, were arrested and charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

All were arraigned in Watertown and booked into the Jefferson County jail after being denied bail.
