No Injuries in East Cobb Mansion Fire

The blaze broke out Friday afternoon near the Atlanta Country Club.

Cobb Fire crews were battling a fire at a home off Paper Mill Road this afternoon, but no injuries were reported.

"Nobody was hurt, everyone's out," said Cobb Fire Lt. Dan Dupree.

The call came around 4:30 p.m. Dupree said extra engines were called to the scene in the 300 block of Rolling Rock Road, largely because of the size of the house, and because of architectural features that need special attention in the case of a fire.

He said firefighters were "still putting out hotspots" early Friday evening and that they were expected to stay on the scene for most of the night.

The home is in a residential community near the Atlanta Country Club with large homes and multi-tiered roofing. The AJC reported the house that caught fire was 7,700 square feet
