Neuman's Wife Testifies in Court

East Cobb resident Ariela Neuman was a witness at a DeKalb pretrial hearing with Dunwoody murder suspect Hemy Neuman in attendance.

The estranged wife of Dunwoody Prep shooting suspect Hemy Avi Neuman was a surprise witness in a DeKalb County pretrial hearing Wednesday. 

Ariela Neuman told the court she gave police when they conducted a search of her East Cobb home following the arrest of Hemy Avi Neuman in November. 

Wednesday's hearing was the first time they had seen each other face to face since then, and Ariela Neuman has not visited her husband in jail, according to Esther Panitch, her attorney.

Hemy Neuman in October for the shooting death of Russell Sneiderman at the Dunwoody Prep preschool. 

Hemy Neuman was a manager at a GE Energy office on Powers Ferry Road, where he supervised Andrea Sneiderman, Russell Sneiderman's widow.

In March, two months after Hemy Neuman was indicted, Ariela Neuman filed for divorce, alleging adultery. 

During Wednesday's hearing, his attorneys challenged the validity of search warrants, but prosecutors argued that Hemy Neuman agreed to meet with police and that his statements were "freely and voluntarily given."

DeKalb Superior Court Judge Gregory Adams, who presided over the hearng, has asked for closing arguments in print by the end of the month.
