Marietta Woman Dies in Canton Road Accident

Her car slammed into a brick pillar at an auto repair shop Friday.

A Marietta woman died Friday after her car collided with a brick pillar at an auto repair shop on Canton Road, according to Cobb Police. 

Officer Michael Bowman said Candice M. Cremeans, 32, was pronounced dead after being rushed to WellStar Kennestone Hospital in critical condition.

He said the red 1997 Honda Accord she was driving entered the parking lot of the Rite Price Auto Repair shop in the 4500 block of Canton Road around 8:50 a.m. Friday. 

The vehicle then collided with a brick pillar near the front of the business, according to Bowman. 

Cobb Police said Cremeans, who may have had a medical emergency that led to the accident, died Friday night.

Bowman said that an autopsy is pending but no charges are expected to be filed. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call Cobb Police at 770-499-3987.
