Man Injured in East Cobb Motorcycle Crash Dies

East Cobb resident passes away two weeks after accident.

An East Cobb man injured in a motorcycle accident on Robinson Road in late March has died, Cobb police said Monday. 

Cobb police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said James A. Speck, 53, died last Thursday after suffering serious injuries in the crash that occurred around 2 a.m. on March 27.  

Speck was traveling eastbound on Robinson Road and could not negotiate a left curve as he approached Barn Owl Road, Pierce said. Speck was ejected from his red 2001 Harley-Davidson and was taken to Kennestone Hospital.

According to a death notice in The Marietta Daily Journal, Speck was the founder of the East Cobb-based Wood Ridge Pallet Co.
