Fire Damages Indian Hills Home

Nobody was injured in the Friday afternoon blaze on Clubland Drive.

Thanks to East Cobb Patch reader Tom O'Neill for sending this photo of Cobb Fire Department crews working to put out a major house fire Friday afternoon in Indian Hills.

Firefighters were called to the scene at the home on Clubland Drive shortly after 2:30 p.m. according to news reports, with the flames burning through the roof and causing serious damage.

According to CBS Atlanta, no injuries were reported. WSB-TV reported that neighbors found residents inside who safely evacuated and that firefighters had to scramble to leave the structure at one point because of intense flames.

O'Neill said he saw a firefighter "bring out a kitty that seemed to be fine."

He also reports that the home recently had undergone a renovation that took more than a year to complete.

I'll be there; rabbi Alper should be good (his You Tube videos are entertaining). CongratulationsRead More to Henry Hene and the Habitat coalition for doing such wonderful work and promoting "We Build to Coexist, We Coexist to Build." Congratulations to Addie and Harvey Schneider -- both are the definition of mensch.

Hurray for the "old school" which just means having a few manners. Ms. Smith alwaysRead More seems to present three facts after what seems to be extensive research. People can disagree without being rude or spouting half truths. I'm glad we still have some ethical and honest people in our midst.
