Falling Tree Kills East Cobb Driver
The incident took place on Powers Ferry Road during today's storms.
An East Cobb woman was killed this evening when a tree fell on her car on Powers Ferry Road.
Shufen Yang, 55, was fatally injured when the tree hit her 1993 maroon Honda Accord as she drove northbound on Powers Ferry Road at St. James Walk around 6:10 p.m., Cobb County police spokesman Officer Mike Bowman said.
Yang was pronounced dead at the scene, which is on the stretch of Powers Ferry between Delk Road and South Marietta Parkway.
