East Cobb Subway Store Robbed

A lone gunman is wanted for holding up the Providence Square location Tuesday night.

A fast food restaurant at a major East Cobb shopping center was robbed Tuesday night, according to Cobb Police.

A lone suspect walked into an unlocked back entrance of the Subway at 4101 Roswell Road, located in the Providence Square Shopping Center, around 8:20 p.m., demanding money from employees, Cobb Police Sgt. Dana Pierce said.

The gunman, who was wearing a mask, received cash from the store manager and pulled a telephone out of the wall before leaving the store through a back door, Pierce said.

He described the suspect as a white male, 6-feet-2, with a thin build. Pierce said the man was a black hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and black gloves.

The suspect was wearing what Pierce said was a "Scream" type of mask.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Cobb Police at 770-499-3945.
