East Cobb Principal Charged with Molestation

A male recently came forward with allegations that he was molested when he was 15 years old.

An East Cobb Lutheran school principal has been arrested in connection with the molestation of a teenage boy.

The boy recently told authorities that he was 15 years old when Jack Duane Hibbs allegedly molested him at the family's residence, Cobb police Sgt. Dana Pierce said this evening in a statement.

Hibbs, now 57, was the principal of Faith Lutheran School on Lower Roswell Road at the time of the alleged incident, he said. School officials could not be reached for comment, but Hibbs is listed on Faith Lutheran's website as its principal during the 2013-14 school year.

"Investigators do not believe this is an isolated incident and are asking for the public’s assistance in helping them to identify any other possible victims," Pierce said.

Hibbs was arrested this morning on four counts of aggravated child molestation. He is at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond.
