Cobb Fire and federal investigators are continuing to look into the cause of a fire at a Powers Ferry Road office building Wednesday afternoon.
A building at the Governor's Ridge complex sustained "extensive damage," Cobb Fire spokeswoman Lt. Denell Boyd told multiple media outlets.
According to CBS Atlanta, Boyd said 20 firefighters were needed to put out the flames in the building that includes an obstetrics and gynecology practice owned by Dr. William McBrayer. There were no injuries reported.
McBrayer is a well-known provider of abortion services in the Atlanta area, and anti-abortion protestors occasionally picket outside Governor's Ridge, according to a report by WSB-TV.
The station also reported that clinic workers said two unknown men went to the third floor of the building, where McBrayer's office is located, and left shortly before the fire broke out.
The fire was the second this week at an Atlanta-area OB/GYN office, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, which reported that a fire broke out at Gwinnett County clinic early Sunday morning.
The Marietta Daily Journal reported early Thursday that the FBI and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms have been called into the Governor's Ridge investigation, and that the the fire is being treated as an arson.
The report said the FBI is describing a possible suspect as a white male, around six feet tall, and that McBrayer's clinic is remaining closed for the time being.
The FBI is asking that anyone with information about the incident to call 404-679-9000.
