Cobb police searching for gunman who held up Cobb Parkway restaurant.

Cobb police are searching for a man who robbed a sandwich shop near Cumberland Mall Wednesday night. 

Cobb police spokesman Officer Joe Hernandez said the man entered the Schlotzky's Deli at 2980 Cobb Parkway, just south of Akers Mill Road, near 10 p.m. Wednesday and ordered employees to open the cash registers. 

The man then directed the employees into the store office and had the manager open the safe. The man fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash, Hernandez said.

He said the suspect is a black male, 5-foot-10 with a medium build, who was wearing all-black clothing and a mask. He may have been armed with a handgun, Hernandez said. 

Cobb police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call 770-499-3945.
