UPDATE: East Cobb Injury Crash Cleared

Cobb police say there were minor injuries in the Tuesday afternoon accident.

UPDATE (3:46 p.m.): Cobb County has reported that the injury accident on Roswell Road at East Cobb Drive has been cleared and that all eastbound lanes of Roswell Road have been re-opened to traffic.

UPDATE (3:03 p.m.): 
A Cobb County police spokesman has supplied more information about a Tuesday afternoon traffic accident in East Cobb.

Officer Mike Bowman tells Patch that minor injuries have been reported in the accident, which occurred in the eastbound lane of Roswell Road at East Cobb Drive. The accident has blocked eastbound travel on Roswell Road.

Bowman says that Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) units have not been dispatched to the scene, but two wreckers are already at the accident location to begin the cleanup process.

ORIGINAL STORY (2:53 p.m.): 
Cobb County is alerting motorists to a traffic accident that may cause congestion and delays for East Cobb motorists.

According to the county's Twitter account, an accident has blocked the eastbound lane of Roswell Road at East Cobb Drive. The accident scene is just west of The Avenue at East Cobb.
