Cobb Police Still Trying to ID Windy Hill Fire Victim

Photos issued of man whose remains may have been found in Feb. 16 brush fire.

Cobb police have issued photos of a man they think may be the same person whose body was found in the I-75/Windy Hill Road area two weeks ago.

The photos were from a surveillance camera at a bank in the Windy Hill Road area, where the unidentified victim was seen before his death.

The body of a white male, between the ages of 40 and 50, was found by Cobb firefighters called to the scene of a Feb. 16 brushfire near a Citgo station at 2651 Windy Hill Road.

Police said the victim was between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10, weighed approximately 160 lbs. and had an amputated right arm below the elbow. Police also believe he was walking with a limp because of a lift shoe on his left foot.

The case is being investigated as a homicide, and police are still seeking public assistance in trying to identify the victim. They think he may have some connection to the Michigan and Florida areas.
