Cobb Police ID Theft Suspect

A man posing on the Internet as an appliance repairman is wanted in connection with several incidents in Cobb.

Cobb Police have identified and released a photo of a suspect they believe is responsible for several theft by deception incidents, the latest in East Cobb's Precinct 4.

Jonathan Davis, 37, advertises on the Internet as an appliance repairman, then arrives at a residence and obtains payment up front to order parts. He later cashes the checks and does not return with the parts or to perform the services, according to a bulletin issued Thursday morning by the Precinct 4 PENS (Police Email Notification System).

Police said Davis may use the business name of Atlanta Appliance or Appliance Repair or represent himself as employed by a legitimate company.
