Beck Named Cobb's Chief Deputy

He has been with the Cobb County Sheriff's Office since 1989.

Cobb County Sheriff Neil Warren has named Col. Milton Beck as his chief deputy, the second highest office in the agency.

"The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office is fortunate to have so many deputies that have the training, qualifications and ability to continue the tradition of providing the citizens, for many years to come, with the professional law enforcement services they have come to expect," Warren said in a statement posted on the county's Facebook page. "At this time, I felt Chief Deputy Beck’s experience, knowledge, commitment and dedication would best serve me, the community, and this agency well."

A graduate of Osborne High and Western Carolina University, Beck came to the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office in 1989 as a deputy sheriff. Since then, he has worked in every division of the agency and held numerous positions. Prior to this week's appointment, he was the commander of the operations division.
