Bathroom Using Woman Robs Cobb Business at Gunpoint

Suspect allegedly asked to use bathroom at a coin laundry, and later emerged from the room with a handgun.

Cobb police say a woman who asked to use a Mableton coin laundry bathroom on Monday night subsequently produced a handgun and helped rob the business.

According to Sgt. Dana Pierce, the crime occurred around 8:15 p.m. at the Northridge Coin Laundry & Cleaners, located at 5345 Floyd Road.

According to a female employee, earlier in the evening a male and female entered the business and left a few minutes later. As the employee was closing the business, the same female returned and asked to use the bathroom.

As the female was exiting the bathroom, she pulled out a handgun and forced the female victim away from the front door. 

Within a few moments of doing so, a male entered the business and went directly to the cash drawer taking an undisclosed amount of cash from it.  Before leaving, the male perpetrator forced the victim to the ground.

The victim believes the two perpetrators fled the area in what was described as a dark SUV. 

The white male suspect is described as standing 5-foot-9 with a medium build. He is thought to be in his late 30s or early 40s and was last seen wearing a grey zip-up jacket or sweatshirt.

The armed female suspect is described as being in her late 30s to early 40s. She had long straight blonde hair and was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt.
