Armed Robbery at East Cobb Walgreens

A man held up a store on Roswell Road Thursday afternoon.

Cobb Police are searching for a suspect who robbed an East Cobb Walgreens store on Thursday.

Cobb Police spokesman Officer Michael Bowman said that a white male approached the registers at the Walgreens location at 2464 Roswell Road around around 4:20 p.m. Thursday, asking for merchandise behind the counters.

When a Walgreens employee placed the items on the counter, the suspect opened a jacket to display a handgun, demanded the merchandise, and fled the store, Bowman said.

Police don't know whether the suspect left on foot or in a vehicle. Bowman said the suspect is a white male, approximately 5-foot-9, and is in his late teens to early 20s.

The suspect also is described as having a medium build, black hair and a slight mustache, and was wearing a black hooded jacket and blue jeans. He was armed with a black handgun, Bowman said.
