The principal of an East Cobb parochial school is facing additional charges of child molestation after another young male came forward with accusations, Cobb Police said today.
Cobb Police Sgt. Dana Pierce said that Jack Duane Hibbs, 57, who has been the principal of Faith Lutheran School, has been charged with an additional count of child molestation and two charges of enticing a child for indecent purposes.
Hibbs was arrested Wednesday on four counts of aggravated child molestation based on complaints from a young male who was 15 years old at the time of the alleged incidents.
Police said that they did not believe the initial case was an isolated incident. Hibbs remains in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond.
In the charges earlier this week, police said the alleged molestation took place at the victim's residence. Pierce said today in a release that the second young male, also 15, told investigators he was molested at the school, located at 2111 Lower Roswell Road, near Sewell Park and the East Marietta Library.
Faith Lutheran School, which is part of Faith Lutheran Church, goes from preschool through the eighth grade.
Pierce said anyone with information about any contact Hibbs may have had with juveniles or children should call 770-801-3470.
