12-Year-Old Returns Home After Going Missing

Alejandro Medina vanished Monday night after visiting a friend.

A 12-year-old Cobb County boy returned to his Smyrna home Tuesday morning after going missing following a visit to a friend’s apartment Monday evening.

Cobb police spokesman Officer Joe Hernandez said Alejandro Medina was in good condition.

With the day off from , Medina spent Monday afternoon at the friend’s home at the Harmony Falls Apartments on Smyrna-Powder Springs Road in Smyrna.

He talked to his mother on the phone about 6:30 p.m. and left roughly 30 minutes later to walk slightly more than a mile to his home at the Harmony Springs Apartments on Personality Parkway south of the city of Marietta and west of Smyrna.
