Funeral Monday For Former Cobb Principal Found Dead In Home

A memorial service for former Murdock Elementary School Principal Natalie Richman will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Temple Kol Emeth.

Funeral services for the Sweet Apple Elementary School principal who died last week will be held on Monday.

The memorial service for Natalie Richman, 47, will start at 10 a.m. May 26 at Temple Kol Emeth in Marietta, with Rabbi Steven Lebow officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Natalie Richman Memorial Fund.  

A private burial will follow the service. 

According to a 2010 press release from the Fulton County School System, Richman served as the principal at Murdock Elementary School in Cobb County before coming to Sweet Apple in 2010. 

Before that, she was an assistant principal and teacher in Cobb County, and taught at elementary schools in DeKalb County and the state of New York.
 
Richman received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a master’s degree in early childhood education at Dowling College. 

She received leadership certification from Georgia State University and Brooklyn College and a specialist’s degree in educational leadership from Lincoln Memorial University.
