Donations Sought for Ariel the Dalmatian

Off-site adoptions will take place on Sunday for Cobb dogs, and foster homes are needed.

Donations Sought for Ariel the Dalmatian --

I PULLED HER THE OTHER DAY FROM COBB COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER FOR DALMATIAN RESCUE OF TAMPA BAY. She is the sweetest girl ever, how sad her family threw her away after being bred likely many times.

She could not be spayed at the shelter due to her age and weight, so I took her to a private vet. Thank goodness I did! She had Pyometra, her uterus was close to rupturing, it's a very dangerous situation and could have killed her in a week or two.

If you can make a donation toward her $500 vet bill, no donation too small, please click on the Donate button, and mention it is for Ariel from Cobb.

She is through her surgery and is doing very well.

Foster Homes Needed --

The volunteers at Cobb County Animal Control are in desperate need of foster homes. We work with a terrific out of state rescue that takes in our dogs but they need temporary homes to stay from 2 to 3 weeks before they go on transport. You would be fostering for the volunteers, not the shelter. If you can help, please E-mail Janice at quietzsch@aol.com. You will need to fill out a foster home application, and have a home visit before fostering.  Thanks for your help!  It's a rewarding experience and a short-term commitment.

Off-site Adoption on Sunday in Kennesaw --

There will be 9 or 10 dogs from Cobb County Animal Control at PetSmart, Sunday 6/ 10 as guests of the Cherokee County Humane Society. Adoptions from 11 - 4 at 860 Cobb Place Blvd NW Kennesaw 30144.

And the shelter is always open on Sundays from 2:00 to 5:00 at 1060 Al Bishop Dr., Marietta, GA  30008.
