East Cobb Thanksgiving Closings
Here's an overview of what's open, what's not, and when through the holiday weekend.
As your prep for Thanksgiving, here are a few closings to keep in mind:
- Schools. All Cobb County schools and offices will be closed Nov. 21-25 for the Thanksgiving holidays.
- Postal service. It will be closed Thursday.
- Grocery stores. While all Publix locations will have regular hours the day before Thanksgiving, they will be closed on the actual holiday.
- Transportation. Cobb Transit observes Thanksgiving and day after the holiday.
- Trash. Only Thursday and Friday customers will be affected. Waste Management will pick up Thursday customers' trash on Friday and Friday customers' trash on Saturday.
- Libraries. The East Marietta Library, East Cobb Library and will be closed on Wednesday at 6 p.m. and will remain closed on Thursday and Friday in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
- Government offices. Cobb County offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. Offices will be closed on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. They will reopen at 8 a.m. Mon., Nov. 28.
