Community Corner

Relay For Life Cobb County

Relay For Life is an unique, fun way to raise money for The American Cancer Society while celebrating cancer survivors, and increasing cancer awareness in the Cobb County community. The overnight team event provides a way for communities to take up the fight against cancer. The community of Cobb County is one of the largest Relay For Life events in the nation!

Teams are formed through businesses, schools, churches, neighborhoods and civic organizations, and each team is assigned a campsite. Teams camp out overnight and participate in a variety of activities while waiting their turn to walk the track. From line dancing and live bands, to scavenger hunts, tug of war, a women-less beauty pageant and midnight Zumba, we have something for everyone! Members of every team take turns walking the track throughout the night to symbolize that cancer does not sleep and that our community will not rest until a cure is discovered. Come join over 8,000 Cobb residents in the fight against cancer!
