Paper Mill Village Welcomes Erin Holt to Food Truck Night

Event will celebrate summer with good good, good music and a good cause

MARIETTE (May 9, 2014) - Atlanta's hottest food trucks will return this month to East Cobb, to serve up their own takes on street food at Paper Mill Village. This family-friendly event, also featuring live music and the opportunity to donate to a good cause, will take place May 19, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

The lineup of food trucks will include Sweet Auburn BBQ, WOW, The Fry Guy, Happy Belly, Tex's Tacos, Genki Noodles, King of Pops, Vintage Frozen Custard, Bollywood Zing and Sugar Benders Bakery. The local rock duo, He Sang She Sang, always a fan favorite at Paper Mill Village, will perform live throughout the evening. 

During the event we will be partnering with Push Forward #25 to raise money for Erin Holt. Erin, age 24, suffered a severe brain injury after a drunk driving accident on November 1, 2013. Erin is a former Walton High School soccer player and after graduating went on to play soccer at Armstrong Atlantic College in Savannah, Ga. Erin spent three weeks in intensive care and 12 weeks at The Shepherd Center in Atlanta. Proceeds from this event will help pay for rehabilitation costs for the Shepherd Pathways program, including the high cost of commuting to and from therapy. 

"We're so happy to have Erin Holt come out for food truck night, and this is truly an event that will be about the community," said Lisa Graham, who handles property management and leasing for Healey Weatherholtz Properties at Paper Mill Village. 

This event will also celebrate the beginning of summer. Cobb County schools close of summer break on May 21. "We are having fun counting down the days until school gets out on our Facebook page, a ritual for school children everywhere, even those who attend the amazing schools in East Cobb," said Graham. "There no doubt will be extra excitement in the air as families come out for our May food truck event."
