Community Corner

Genealogy Society of Cobb County Georgia Monthly Meeting, April 22, 2014

Ruthanne Warnick will present a program to the Society on how to capture the stories and experiences of a person’s life in writing, in their own words.  She will demonstrate not only how to create a written legacy for family, friends, and future generations, but also how to gain insight and personal discovery.

Ruthanne holds a master’s degree in geography, had a career in the travel industry, and has worked on numerous special projects to capture people’s stories. All of these were driven by a desire to learn about and learn from people’s experiences, whether they live across the street or across the world…and whether they are stories of everyday life or exciting adventures. Ruthanne’s own story is featured in the book Thin Threads: Real Life Stories of Hadassah Life Changing Moments.
