Fermentation Focus: Kombucha & Kefir

Join Golda Kombucha Tea Company’s owner and brew-master Melanie Wade as she teaches you the refined skill of Kombucha Tea making. As a family tradition passed down from Golda, her 93 year-old grandmother and long time Kombucha Tea fanatic, Melanie will bestow on you the proper recipe, steps, and equipment to make your very own fermented tea. After the course, be prepared to take away key health knowledge on why this ancient beverage is called the “Elixir of Life”.

Keep the fermentation fun alive by learning about the history, science, and health benefits of kefir. Milk kefir will be covered – and sampled – pretty thoroughly, including a number of versatile recipes and ideas from kefir cheese and kefir ice cream to coconut milk kefir and more. We will also touch on water kefir – a wonderful soda alternative for you and your family.
*Kefir kits will be available for purchase
