St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church will host three local choral groups on Tuesday, January 22nd at 8pm.
The program will feature three widely-respected Georgia academic choruses: Georgia State University Singers (Atlanta), Walton High School A Cappella (Marietta), and Dutchtown High School Concert Choir (Hampton). Each will
present music from a wide range of historic and stylistic periods. These choirs have been selected to demonstrate exemplary choral performance at this year’s Georgia Music Educators Association’s Annual In-Service Conference in Savannah. Composers range from Sweelinck and Sacred Harp to India’s “Mozart.”
It’s a free concert and no tickets are needed.
St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church is a 50-year-old congregation in East Cobb and the acoustics of the sanctuary built in 2005 are among the best in the area. The church is located at 571 Holt Road, Marietta, GA, 30068. All are welcome.
