Earth Day Canoe Trip

Saturday, April 19, Trip times from 1 - 4pm and 5 - 8pm

Summer will soon be arriving, but you can get your family out early on the Chattahoochee River this year to celebrate Earth Day. Take advantage of two different opportunities to enjoy a quiet paddle along the cliffs and through the backwaters of the river. The Chattahoochee River provides water to businesses and residents in over 70% of metro Atlanta, and on a summer afternoon it can seem as crowded as the downtown connector. We will discuss both the natural history of the river and the work being done today by the Chattahoochee Nature Center and other organizations to protect it into the future. Join us as we paddle through the newly green trees and blooming flowers of spring in the company of migrating birds and mammals taking advantage of the changing season.  Ages 6 –Adult, $40 General Public/$30 CNC Members. Registration Required no later than April 17th at https://ecommerce.chattnaturecenter.org/ItemList.aspx?node_id=16385, scheduling@chattnaturecenter.org or call 770-992-2055 x237. Chattahoochee Nature Center, 9135 Willeo Road, Roswell, GA -  www.chattnaturecenter.org
