Winter Storm Watch for Cobb

Snow and other hazardous traveling weather are expected from Thursday afternoon through Friday morning.

From the Marietta Police Department:

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Cobb, Dekalb, Douglas, Fulton and Gwinnett County. Forecast anticipates that we will see rainfall around 2pm on Thursday and will start to see a change over from rain to snow around 5pm which will continue overnight.

This is subject to change if the system speeds up or slows down. Cobb County can expect approximately 1/2 to 1 inch of snow accumulations possible on grassy areas.

The temperature will drop below freezing between 10pm and midnight Thursday night and will warm up to freezing by mid-morning. Cobb County is expecting 1-3 inches of snow by Friday morning as well as a combination of rain and snow.
