Warrant: East Cobb Man Hid, Molested Teen

A 21-year-old East Cobb man allegedly hid a 13-year-old Covington girl in his Powers Park Way home and "engaged in various indecent acts with the child" for more than one month.

The alleged relationship between Joshua Harry Measroch and the teen started online, according to a Cobb County arrest warrant. After three months, Cobb police said Measroch took the relationship further.

On May 2, he allegedly drove to Covington to pick up the girl. Measroch, according to the warrant, returned to his East Cobb home with the teen, who remained "hidden in his bedroom" until June 5.

Measroch was arrested Friday on charges that include rape, aggravated child molestation, child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes and interference with custody, according to online jail records. He was also charged with interference with custody and obstruction of an officer in Newton County, according to the Covington News.

He remains in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond.

The teen is safe, but faces juvenile charges in Newton County, according to the Covington News.
