Sewell Park Pool Opens Tuesday

Summer vacation is here, and East Cobb's only outdoor public pool is ready to accommodate the season.

It's hot -- very, very hot -- and school is out for the summer.

Swimming pools abound in private neighborhoods all around East Cobb. But for those without a place to cool off, relief is on the way.

East Cobb's only outdoor pool will open Tuesday.

The Sewell Park pool, located at 2055 Lower Roswell Road, opens today under summer hours with vacationing youngsters in mind.

The hours are 1-5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Starting on July 8, the pools will be open 1-5 p.m. on Sundays.

The indoor Mountain View Aquatic Center, 2650 Gordy Parkway, is open year-round and begins summer swimming lessons on June 4.
