News Nearby: Sneiderman Granted $500K Bond; Missing Boy Found Safe

A $500,000 bond was set for Andrea Sneiderman during a Tuesday court appearance in DeKalb County. 

She will be arraigned on Sept. 6 for the murder of her husband, Russell Sneiderman. He was gunned down in Nov. 2010 by her former GE Energy supervisor, Hemy Neuman, the ex-East Cobb resident who is serving life without parole.

Missing Boy in DFCS Custody, Father Arrested

An 11-year-old Cherokee County boy who had gone missing since late last week was found safe on Tuesday, and his father has been charged with several felonies, including cruelty to children and reckless conduct, as well as drug charges. 

Jason Cole is accused by authorities of being on a drug binge and preventing the child from attending school for three days and for not feeding him adequately. The boy, Elijah Cole, is in protective custody.

Dive Teams Continue Search for Mableton Drowning Victim

A Mableton man who may have jumped from his boat near the Lake Lanier Islands over the weekend has still not been found, but search efforts continue.

Jeffrey Nause, 44, is presumed drowned after going for a swim.  has the details.

A 70-Year-Old Tortoise Reunites with Forsyth Owners

Tortellini has safely returned home after going missing last week. The 70-year-old tortoise was spotted in a neighborhood near the home of worried owner Elexis Hayes and her family. 

"I'm not a sissy girl, but I cried like a big ol' baby when I got him back," said Hays.
