News Nearby: Missing Teens Found; Man, Dog Die in Mobile Home Fire

According to the Johns Creek Police Department, missing Johns Creek teens Sean Mooney and Fea Raizes have been found unharmed in Savannah.

Mooney was last seen by his father on Oct. 26 around 1 p.m., while Raizes was last seen by her father Oct. 27 around 6 p.m.

Cumming Man, Dog Die in Fire

A 64-year-old man and his dog died Friday morning following a structure fire in a single-wide mobile home.

Forsyth County firefighters responded to the scene of the fire located at 101 Sawnee Drive in the city of Cumming around 8:24 a.m.

Marcus Junior Sams was removed from the residence but succumbed to undetermined injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. He had a small mixed breed dog that also died.

Bartow Authorities Seek Fugitive Following Car, Foot Chase

Bartow County sheriff's authorities are asking locals to be on the lookout for a "dangerous fugitive" last seen this morning near Red Top Mountain Road near Acworth and Cartersville.

Sheriff Clark Millsap said in a release police are looking for Derrick Ramone Walker, 40, of Avondale Estates, following an incident early Thursday morning.

Walker is wanted on carjacking, aggravated assault and theft by taking in Tunnel Hill, a north Georgia city south of Chattanooga. He also now faces new charges in Bartow County—theft by receiving stolen property, fleeing and attempting to elude, reckless driving and driving with a suspended license.

Women Arrested for Assisted Living Burglaries

Two Woodstock women were arrested this week in connection with multiple burglaries at assisted living facilities, one in Acworth.

Candace Janet Ballard, 31, and Jayne Cherelle Phillips, 23, are in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, each charged with three counts of burglary and two counts of credit card fraud, Cobb County Police Sgt. Dana Pierce said Friday afternoon in a news release.

Cobb investigators were led to the suspects after a report of an Oct. 13 theft at Acworth's Heritage at Brookstone Assisted Living Facility, 5235 Stilesboro Road.
