Menorah Lightings in East Cobb

Hanukkah observances continue with events at Fountains of Olde Towne and Temple Kol Emeth this week.

Hanukkah, the eight-day festival of light, began on Saturday, and two Menorah lighting events in East Cobb will take place this week.

On Tuesday, Chabad of Cobb will present "Light Up the Night" and "A Taste of Chanukah" starting at 6:30 p.m. the Fountains of Olde Town Shopping Center, 736 Johnson Ferry Road.

The event includes the lighting of what's claimed to be the tallest menorah in the metro Atlanta area, as well as samples of Hannukah food favorites.

On Wednesday, Temple Kol Emeth will have a menorah lighting, along with Israeli dancing, storytelling and crafts and food.

That event begins at 6:45 p.m. at the synagogue, 1415 Old Canton Road.

Temple Kol Emeth is lighting our outdoor menorah every night at 7. Everyone is welcome to join us. Wednesday's event (http://patch.com/E-rgtW) is a big, open community celebration of the holiday and includes the involvement of our neighboring congregations in Cobb County and Roswell. Again, everyone is invited to join us every night of the Festival of Lights.
